When I saw the unfinished artwork, I just about shed a tear. Now....now I actually have. She's so sad there's a beauty in her sadness. I can't think of a single way this could be better.

Sally Acorn never thought she would make it this far. After all the long years, the grueling wars, the heartbreaks and failures...a part of her had thought for sure she would die before this day came. Yet here she now stood, walking almost as if just awakened from a dream...a child's dream of victorious tunes blared from trumpets, of bright colors and adoring cheers. All that was behind her now, done and over with. Watching the sky as it burned with the orange blanket of sunset, not sure what she was looking for or even where she was looking, she leaned softly against a nearby tree, trying as hard as she could to soak it all in.

Princess Sally was gone. Queen Sally now stood, steeling herself to face the world.

And she was all alone...
