I imagine Sally must have been heartbroken when she was taken to the great forest and told her father was gone... I always wondered what kind of deeper inside story there would be... this is a bit of a rendition of that. Sallys first night in Knothole without her father

Very insightful. And the art is beautiful as always. :)
^/////^ thanks!

Wanna know something funny?
About a year and a half ago a drew a bunch of Sally and KELLY pictures o.o Just for the hell of it I guess, but some people apparently think that childhood charecters created need to be ';perfectly original' and look nothing like the main charecters despite the fact that I put in the description that thier freakin identical twins @_@

nothings sacred I guess

A little piece of paper with a picture drawn,
Floats on down the street till the wind is gone,
The memory now is like the picture was then,
When the paper’s crumpled up it can’t be perfect again.

Once again, I love your ability depict emotion. I can't help but feel sorry for Sally in this picture. Of course, it also helps that you have one of the best renditions of her that I've ever seen. Poor little Sally. ;_;
maybe you should go check out tazi-san and see I'm really not all that great ^^

but still, thanks, I'm very glad you enjoyed it

Tazi-san is on my watch list. I agree that she is very, very talented.
This is so beautiful. Poor Sally :tears:

I love the way you did her headdress...I might need to use that if it's okay with you [link] ^^;

Ha! As if the characters most people come up with can be called "original". A while back I actually wrote a short "Sally and Kelly" story, but in the end, Kelly did truely end up being robot. Slightly more tragic than our version, Im afraid. :)
I'd still love to read it! I find tragic stories tend to be my favorite. I just need to follow it up with a happier story.

As far as these sonic fanchars around? yeah... >.>I've seen some very interesting onces, and then, some really ....uninspiring ones. I should upload those pics for you just for the hell of it! ^^

That's a good point... I don't think we've seen a lot of development of Sally from Point A (young child) to point B (strong woman). Who knows what kind of horror it was for her? Not that it wasn't for all of the other children as well, but I mean... to know that the entire war was brought upon by a direct attack against your father, and if she knew anything of it, a horridly malicious attack that had him thrown into the Zone of Silence as a means of torture and suffering... guh.

Now I'm thinking about all of them as children, and how what I've read of the Archie comics and what I've seen of the SatAM series (as great as both were, at times) focused so much on their being spunky, "Let's get our moms and dads back! Yeaaahhhh!" sides, and really laid the optimism and strength (and naivete) of youth on thick. I think for at least some of that, some of them must have wanted to crawl into a hole, like you so perfectly captured here.
